Plato Pet Treats make selecting a natural, responsibly sourced treat for your best friend an easy one! And now they make it even easier choice by giving back to the dog community with PLATO WAGS BACK
Plato Pet Treats’ new 2015 Plato Wags Back has been on a comprehensive search to find organizations that “fit” our brand and honor our values. We are pleased to announce the official 2015 additions to our roster of growing philanthropic efforts that we support. We are the official “Medical Sponsor” for the Fresno Bully Rescue. As our neighbors in Fresno, CA, we have become familiar with their efforts and cause to spay and neuter dogs to control the pet population. And as a “good cause”, we have fallen in love with their methodology and efforts. The #1 way to #SaveThemAll is prevention through controlling the population.
Shelter to Soldier is a near and dear mission to our hearts at Plato Pet Treats. This specific organization serves two of the greatest causes we can imagine; shelter pets that have a dim future and soldiers that have served our country during a time of war. Shelter to Soldier assists returning soldiers with PTSD to live with a psychiatric dog enabling them to overcome their often paralyzing fear of integrating back into society. There are many groups providing companion animal to soldiers, but psychiatric dogs take 18 months of training, nearly $45,000 in training to qualify for medical support. Shelter to Soldier enables the soldier to select the shelter dog they feel is right and then it is off to training to get their support dog ready – the dog’s very own boot camp.
Plato Pet Treats’ Wag’s Back is sponsoring a dog’s training for the 18 months prior to living with and supporting a war-time veteran. The soldier getting this dog has agreed to name him Plato in honor of the sponsorship of his new best friend. Stay tuned for updates on Plato’s progress – photos and videos to come.
