Hundur’s Crunch Jerky Fingers have only one ingredient: Cod Fish Skin. The cod are caught in the North Atlantic Ocean in a certified sustainable manner and then air-dried so as to retain the inherent nutrients in the fish while also naturally preserving them (but your dog will just think that they smell and taste amazing).

Our treats are air-dried in our family-owned facility in Fresno, CA, with the exception of our single-ingredient fish. We do our best to source as many ingredients as possible in the US (the majority of them are sourced just a few miles from our facility in California). However, some ingredients just aren’t available domestically. For those ingredients, we use our approved supplier program to source around the world, but with one exception: we never source anything of Chinese origin.

We started by baking custom treats for our own dogs 10 years ago and that’s where Plato Pet Treats began. Plato the philosopher as we know him to be was a thinker to say the least, and these are treats for people who truly think about the well being and health of their furry family members. It’s a smart way to treat the dogs that treat us so well .
Plato Pet Treats are produced here in the United States, in the heart of California, in our very own facility. This allows us to tightly control our own production processes so we can ensure that our treats are always made to our stringent quality standards.
Make sure to store the bag in a cool, dark place, out of extreme heat or direct sunlight. The bag should never be placed in the refrigerator due to the natural nature of these treats it will cause condensation and mold. We stand behind and guarantee your satisfaction of the treats through the best by date printed on the back of the bag.
Yes, because of the natural aspects of our treats they may slightly vary in shape, color, size and texture from bag to bag. We have recently made some product upgrades on our Thinkers line, follow the infographic below for more information:
Due to our rigorous quality standards, we solely source our proteins under the following specifications: Natural, Organic or Wild Caught.
Natural Proteins:
A product containing no artificial ingredient or added color and is only minimally processed. Minimal processing means that the product was processed in a manner that does not fundamentally alter the product.
Organic proteins:
Simply stated, organic produce and other ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. Animals that produce meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products do not take antibiotics or growth hormones. Plato Pet Treats Organic products are Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth.
